| The function of the U.S. Tray Deaerator is to remove dissolved Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide and other noncondensible gases from boiler feedwater, preventing corrosion in piping, economizers and heat exchangers. |
Deaeration is achieved by:
Heating the water to full saturation temperature
(the solubility of the gas is then 0)
Cascading the heated water over trays to minimize
the distance the liberated gas bubbles must travel
to reach the surface
The scrubbing action of the overflow steam,
sweeping the liberated gases from the surface
of the water and carrying them out the vent
| Top quality construction: Exterior is
constructed of welded steel plate and internals are type 304 stainless steel.
Usually 50 psgi or higher Shell and Storage: are manufactured in compliance with ASME Code with Stamp & Certificate. Heating and Air Separating Trays: are easily accessible through manways in the pressure vessel shell and tray compartment. More than adequate spilling edge and open passage is provided. Only Clean Incoming Steam: and deaerated water come in contact with the pressure vessel. Counterflow Operation: provides the greatest possible deaerating action with the cleanest steam entering the bottom of the tray stack! |
